We had already noted that Icelandic officials were upset with the US, since one of the accounts under investigation was an Icelandic Member of Parliament. Of course, I have to say that as troubling as the US government’s investigation appears to be, this particular response seems a little silly. The request for information was to a US company for info on US servers. That European users were involved really shouldn’t much matter. Now, there is a somewhat silly “safe harbor” system that the Commerce Department has set up for American companies to get around the fact that the EU Privacy Directive forbids the transfer of personal info from Europeans to non-EU countries unless they have similar privacy laws (the US does not). if you are very careful, you can use steel wool and get a brushed look. it will at least tone it down.
by rubbing the item (light fixture or faucets) very gently in one direction you will get the brushed effect. try it on something inconspicuous first.
i have a hammered brass planter that i want to tone done, so i spray painted it black and after the paint dried i rubbed over it with fine grit sand paper. it changed the look completely and works much better. that may be an option for you as well.
you can always ignore the brass that exist. use what ever you like, bronze or silver…and somehow the metals will blend and work together.

There are 12 ounces in a Troy pound instead of 16. Look up the market to see how much silver is going for today and you'll have your answer. O.k. I just looked it up. Silver is 14.599 a regular ounce. Easy to figure out.

Manufactured homes are trailers. They have steel frames and Vin #s. No matter what the sales person tells you a manufactured home is a trailer home is a mobile home. They have come along way and some are very nice. Manufactured is the new term. Modular homes is were things are different, They are wood framed, stick built off sight. In my area modullar finance, insure and appraise the same as a traditional stick built, manufactured homes don't. I checked into manufactured homes about two years ago and was set to buy one until I started taking to the banks and insurance companies. Palm Harbor is a name that came up when i was doing my research but I dropped the manufactured home idea and went modular. If you want manufactured check into Patriot, they also build modular. I bought my modular from them and have been happy with it.
