   Without seeing it it is hard to offer definitive advice, but it sound like the support has broken rather than come loose. Thin wall tube like this is really hard to repair because there isn't much metal to work with. Often, the only thing to do is to add metal supports to the original parts so they can be reattached, but am not sure if it is worth the trouble and expense in your case. Can you put some sort of support block underneath the beam? It won't be very attractive, but should provide enough support to allow the thing to still be used. If the beam is removable, see if a replacement is available through the manufacturer or dealer. A muffler shop may be able to reweld it for you, too. They deal with this type of repair all the time and would have the expertise and equipment to fix it for a reasonable price, I would think. Duct tape will only last until someone sits on it. You could use hose clamps and a few pieces of angle iron to make a splint, but I don't think it would hold up very long. If you can find a piece of thick wall pipe or solid rod that is the exact same size as the inside of the tube, it could be a workable solution, too. Put it in the middle of one side, and put the other end over it. Run a couple of bolts or screws into it to keep it in place and that would work pretty well if the inside piece was strong enough.

   You will get different colors at different temperatures, in heating as well as way metal is cooled afterwards, — This is a thing that you just have to know "what it looks like" as it is heated, — so get yourself some "sheetmetal" about the same thickness as what you want to work on and experiment! Old car fender or something will work (stay away from galvanized, as the burning coating is not real healthy to breathe)! You will find that the colors left after heating will even change somewhat if you heat a place near it later, – which (is what) seems to make colors sort of "flow" together!

   flashing's must be installed from the bottom/lowest point to the top/highest point of skylight. this ensures that the overlap at the seams face downwards. the top of the flashing must be secured under/behind the skylight frame and on top of the steel roofing. a pro would tab and mitre the corners tight enough not to need extra sealing. you can practice tinsmithing or…clean dirt and skin oil off of installed flashing's with clean rag and isopropyl alchohol. seal with the best caulking you can afford
